Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch is one of two Scout Ranches for the Denver Area Council. Located south-east of Denver only a short 90-minute drive, PV has three separate camps within the Ranch: Camp Deitler, Camp Chris Dobbins, and Magness Camp for Cub Scouts. Each summer scouting units from all over the country and the world visit PV for week-long scouting experience that includes dozens of merit badges, some of which are unavailable in other parts of the country.A short drive away, for example, is a 1,000-foot elevation climb at Devils Head Fire Lookout, which when combined with the summer camp experience allows scouts from all over to achieve the requirement for the Camping Merit Badge.
