    Description

    Burning Bear camp ground is on the south end of Guanella Pass in central Colorado. It's a small campsite with maybe a dozen sites where we had a large buck and a doe greet us early in the morning. The view is amazing. This photo was from the edge of camp at sunset in July 2017.     Directions

    From Denver, take US-285 South (west) to Grant, CO. Turn right at Grant following the sign to Guanella Pass (Scenic Byway). Go about five miles and as the switchbacks give way to the high mountain valley the site is on the right (east) of the road set back about 120 yards.
